Lisa Orzolek is a Scenic Designer based in Denver, Colorado and has been proud to call the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) her artistic home for the past 28 years. She delights in collaborating with other creative minds to bring exciting and engaging productions to life – from contemporary favorites and beloved classics to world premieres, cabaret musicals and offbeat, innovative projects. Lisa’s designs have been seen on many of the stages in the DCPA complex as well as at the Lone Tree Arts Center and the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, among others.
Along with designing, Lisa has been the Director of Scenic Design for the DCPA Theatre Company for 17 years. In this role, more than 150 productions become fully realized with her help. Designers she has assisted include Wilson Chin, Jason Sherwood, Sandra Goldmark, Robert Mark Morgan, Regina Garcia, James Kronzer, David Barber, Donyale Werle, Tim Mackabee, Myung Hee Cho, John Iacovelli, Vicki Smith, Ralph Funicello, and Michael Ganio.
Prior to her role as Director of Scenic Design, Lisa was a Scenic Design Assistant for the DCTC for 10 years.
